Send Files Without Registration with HexaTransfer

You can send files with HexaTransfer without creating an account or entering an email address in the tool. This tutorial walks through sending and receiving. To choose a provider first, use the comparison of no-registration transfers.

Before you start

Prepare your files and a way to share the link with the recipient. The combined size must stay within 50 GiB, with up to 1,000 files. Choose 1–30 days, with 14 days by default, from transfer creation. Keep the originals and agree on a download deadline.

Account-free does not mean anonymous. The service processes technical data, including the upload IP address. Encryption protects the transferred content; it does not hide your use of the website from every network intermediary.

Create the link in five steps

1. On the home page, select files or drag them into the tool. Check each name and size.
2. Choose the availability period in whole days using the selector. Open the options if you want a message, password or download limit. These options do not create an account.
3. If you enable password protection, use 8 to 128 characters and keep the password to share with your recipient. It is an additional access check, separate from the encryption key.
4. Start uploading and keep the page open until the success screen. Closing or reloading the page will not let you resume the upload later.
5. Copy the entire link with the copy button. Save it somewhere private before closing the page.

The browser encrypts files and their metadata using AES-256-GCM. The key goes after # in the link; HexaTransfer does not receive it. The optional password is checked by the server and does not replace that key.

Share the link without losing the key

Paste the complete link into your usual messaging channel. Do not remove the fragment after #, and avoid tools that truncate it. Send any password through a separate channel. Someone who receives a forwarded copy of the full link can also access the files if they pass any password check.

There is no personal dashboard for retrieving your links. If you lose the complete link and have no saved copy, start again from the original files. Support cannot reconstruct a key it does not hold.

What the recipient does

They open the link, enter any password, then choose which files to save. No HexaTransfer account is requested. Downloading a file above 512 MiB requires direct saving through File System Access. Without that capability, a combined ZIP whose estimated size exceeds 512 MiB is also refused, even when each file is smaller.

Try a non-sensitive file on the receiving device first. For a collection of small files, try individual downloads; for a large file, use a compatible browser. The 10 GB file guide explains the constraints.

The link stops working after expiry or when a chosen download limit is reached. Ask the recipient to confirm receipt before removing your own copy.
