केवल PDF भेजना क्यों पर्याप्त नहीं है

PDF plotset printing और markup (Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat) के लिए बढ़िया है, लेकिन flat है। ठेकेदारों के estimators quantities pull करने के लिए DWGs उपयोग करते हैं: doors count करना, wall lengths extract करना, rooms measure करना। Shop drawings DWGs के रूप में वापस आते हैं। BIM coordination के लिए .rvt या .ifc चाहिए। दोनों deliver करें: native CAD/BIM और review के लिए PDF issuance set।

Issuance Discipline और Naming Conventions

CAD-delivery naming National CAD Standard (US), ISO 19650 (international), या AIA E-203 BIM protocol का पालन करता है। Contractor के estimator को deliver किए गए zip में हो:

• Transmittal PDF जो हर file, revision number और issue date list करे
• Sheet index
• Top level पर LATEST folder — current revision को point करता
• Revision_History.txt जो बताए पिछले issuance से क्या बदला

ISO 19650 file naming: Project-Originator-Volume-Level-Type-Role-Number.ext — जैसे BigCo-ArchFirm-Z1-L01-DR-A-1001.dwg।

कौन क्या पाता है

• General contractor: पूर्ण DWG/RVT set + PDF plotset + specs .pdf (अक्सर 200–500 page Division 0–48 document)
• Structural engineer: structural DWGs, loads diagrams, rebar schedules
• MEP sub: plumbing/electrical/HVAC DWGs, one-line diagrams, fixture schedules

संवेदनशील Projects के लिए Encryption

Government buildings, data centers, embassies, defense contractors — जहाँ blueprints public record नहीं — वे projects ट्रांसफर पर end-to-end encryption से benefit करते हैं। PBKDF2-derived 256-bit key से AES-256-GCM keyed, Web Crypto API से in-browser negotiate, drawings ट्रांसफर सर्विस के लिए unreadable रखता है। Subpoena के तहत भी सर्विस केवल ciphertext produce कर सकती है।

DPDP Act 2023 के अंतर्गत, भारतीय defense या government contractors का sensitive project data encrypted transfer से ही share होना चाहिए — data breach की situation में यह legal liability कम करता है।

Missed issuance dates project schedule में cascade करती हैं। एक download notification — "contractor A ने 15 April को 14:32 पर CD issuance download किया" — project manager को phone tag के बिना paper trail देता है। अगर expiry 30 दिन है, PM के पास enforcement mechanism है: "लिंक शुक्रवार को expire होता है; उससे पहले set pull करें।"

Transfer Links पर Revision Control

नए revision के लिए कभी वही लिंक reuse न करें। हर issuance को अपना लिंक, अपना filename (_Rev_B, _Rev_C), और अपनी expiry मिलती है। पिछला लिंक expiry तक live रहता है या explicitly revoke होता है।
